The Market Development Specialist, Pelvic Fragility Fracture (Geriatric/Osteoporotic) role will help to drive a change in the pathway of care of patients who sustain a pelvic fragility fracture. By educating orthopedic surgeons and other HCPs within the patient care pathway, building relationships, delivering product information, this person will help to meet sales/market development goals by working closely with the regional managers, local sales representative, and marketing

Responsibilities:

• Establishing and growing relationships in a specific market, providing education to influencers and stakeholders within the care pathway and driving utilization are crucial.

• Focus on discovering and establishing connections with stakeholders and influencers of the FFP patient care pathway.

• Effectively communicate the importance of patient care being managed by an Orthopedic Trauma specialist who specializes in pelvic fragility

• Effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of surgically fixing Pelvic fragility fractures over conservative care to medical professionals to drive referrals

• Conduct HCP referral outreach

• Schedule and follow-up with medical educational programs, i.e. CME, Grand Rounds, etc.

• Host educational lunches and conversations with healthcare professionals in the FFP patient care pathway.

• Provide feedback to better target our outreach and refine our messaging.

• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, effectiveness of market development activities, and develop territory plans with the sales manager and marketing. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and seek to learn and grow as a clinical specialist for FFP

• Demonstrate passion for our FFP mission/vision and CurvaFix/product through the entire outreach/sales cycle while never losing sight of how this aims to serve patients

Day-to-Day Job Will Include:

• Implement/pilot the FFP strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with the local team members and organizational objectives

• Identify key stakeholders to create partnerships with Orthopedic Surgeons, Emergency medicine, Geriatricians, Hospitalists, Primary care

• Lead FFP program education and planning discussions with administrators and physician stakeholders to enable and streamline the pathway to care for patients

• Utilize the software to identify HCPs managing patients within a designated area and prioritizing efforts

• Track and report productivity

• Oversee and manage FFP campaign awareness activities to the local budget allowance

• Develop recommendations and engage the VP/Dir of marketing to create program enhancements and best practices for the broader launch

• Collaborate with local sales counterparts to identify and deliver solutions that meet customer needs

• Gain deep understanding of FFP initiatives and customer needs to ensure alignment of materials, programs, solutions, data, and resources that support strategy and activity

• Partner with the sales team, sales leadership, and marketing on customer expansion strategies and opportunities to reach new physicians and facilities.

• Participate in targeted, local regional events related to market development opportunities

Experience & Qualifications:

• 5-10 yrs. in a field sales

• Healthcare marketing or consultative selling experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals

• Proven track record of clinical, evidence-based selling

• Current orthopedic surgeon relationships and/or immediate access to orthopedic surgeons

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

• Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical/medical device

• Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes

• Local Market knowledge

• Sales Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with hospital administration, marketing, etc.

• Experience in developing a new market

• Basic knowledge of reimbursement

• Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of orthopedics, bone health

• Experience organizing educational events for medical staff

• Experience calling on clinics such as geriatricians, hospitalists, primary care, family medicine, physical therapy, nursing home (or the like)
